PCB set to issue quick Visa services for Indian fans who are travelling to Pakistan for the champions trophy

Mohsin Naqvi, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and also the Federal Interior Minister, indicated on Friday that there will be a speedy visa arrangement for Indian spectators wishing to come for the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan next year.

He gave the guarantees in a recent gathering with a delegation of American Sikh visitors.

Naqvi shared that the PCB was optimistic that Indian fans would respond positively and travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.

“We will be keeping a special quota of tickets for Indian fans and we will try to make the visa issuance policy brisk.” Naqvi was quoted as saying by a newspaper.

Naqvi acknowledged that the PCB hopes Indian fans will come to Pakistan to watch the match between India and Pakistan to be held in Lahore.

Pakistan is set to stage the ICC mega event in furbrary-march of 2025 but up to now ICC has still not released the tournament schedule as they are waiting for the response of the Indian government if they would allow their team to come to Pakistan for the tournament.

The BCCI has clarified that it has to comply with any such policy position taken by their government in relation to travelling to Pakistan.

Since the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks no Indian team has visited Pakistan.

There has been a hiatus in Test matches between the two nations since 2007.
