However, its delay has given other companies a chance to move ahead. There have been news regarding its launch in the last 2 years. However, now it seems that the years of wait are going to end soon. Actually, recently the Japanese brand has released 'Honda Report 2024'. In this it has told that it will introduce an EV model with two Honda Mobile Power Packs, which will be based on 110cc ICE scooter. In such a situation, it is being speculated that perhaps the development of Activa EV is in the final stages. It can be launched in the Indian market in the second half of 2025.

“This includes an India-spec model that maintains the practicality of a mass-market model. A global model with advanced equipment like in-vehicle infotainment,” Honda wrote in Report 2024. Activa EV will compete with many models including Ola, TVS iQube, Bajaj EV. The company's annual report said the global EV model will debut in Indonesia, followed by Japan and Europe. The company plans to expand its EV portfolio by introducing several products including fun commuter and plug-in rechargeable models. “Our aim is to increase our market share globally and establish ourselves as a leader in electric motorcycles,” the company said in the report.

Honda believes that the two-wheeler market is continuously growing. Especially in those countries where the youth population is high. As far as India is concerned, it is the largest two-wheeler market in the entire world. Due to the policy here and the support from the government, the demand for EV is increasing rapidly. Honda is also considering introducing battery-swapping electric motorcycles with Honda Mobile Power Pack in India and other ASEAN countries. Thus, the brand's portfolio will include both fixed-battery and detachable battery EV models by 2025.

Showed his electric scooter in Japan
The company introduced its electric scooter at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show. It has been named SC e: Concept. This electric scooter looks very stylish. From its wheels to seats and LED lights, all the parts are winning the hearts of the customers. At present it is not confirmed whether a similar model will be brought in the Indian market or not. It is also being considered as the electric version of Activa. Honda SC e: It is clear from the design of the electric scooter that it has been designed for daily travel in the city.

In this, LED lights have been installed between LED DRLs at the front. All these are visible in the apron section of the scooter. Honda branding is visible inside this light. LED lights are also provided in front of the handle. It also has a screen of about 7 inches. It is not known whether it is LED or TFT. This screen is raised like a tablet. It is expected that all the information related to electric scooter will be visible on it. For example, trip meter, odometer, range, mode, time, date, weather, battery range, battery charging and many other information will be visible on this screen. It could also be a touch panel.
