GST collection increased by 9 percent to Rs 1.87 lakh crore in October
New Delhi New Delhi: Gross GST collection increased by 9 per cent to over Rs 1.87 lakh crore in the month of October due to higher revenue from domestic transactions. Central GST collection stood at Rs 33,821 crore, state GST at Rs 41,864 crore, integrated IGST at Rs 99,111 crore and cess. stood at Rs 12,550 crore. Total gross goods and services tax (GST) revenue last month increased by 8.9 percent to more than Rs 1.87 lakh crore. The collection in October 2023 was Rs 1.72 lakh crore.
GST from domestic transactions rose 10.6 per cent to Rs 1.42 lakh crore, while taxes on imports rose nearly 4 per cent to Rs 45,096 crore during October 2024. Refunds worth Rs 19,306 crore were issued during the month, up from a year earlier. Registers a growth of 18.2 percent compared to the previous period. After adjusting refunds, net GST collections increased 8 per cent to over Rs 1.68 lakh crore.
