Banks are going to remain closed tomorrow due to Govardhan Puja and Balipratipada. Banks are going to remain closed in all the states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Banks will remain open in all other states. 2 November (Saturday) – Diwali (Bali Pratipada)/Govardhan Puja/Vikram Samvat New Year

On November 2, there will be a bank holiday in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of Bali Pratipada and Govardhan Puja. Vikram Samvat New Year will also be celebrated on this day, due to which banks will remain closed in many states. Residents of Karnataka and Maharashtra have got a four-day long weekend on the occasion of Diwali.

Banks will remain closed for 13 days in November 2024. These holidays are due to various national and local festivals and Saturday-Sunday holidays. Holidays in November include major festivals like Diwali Amavasya (Lakshmi Puja), Kuta Mahotsav, Kannada Rajyotsava, Balipadyami, Vikram Samvat New Year, Chhath Puja and Vangala Mahotsav. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of these holidays according to the states on its website.
