Jammu and Kashmir. J&K Assembly session: PDP MLA Wahid Para on Monday presented a resolution in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly against the removal of Article 370. Apart from this, a demand was also made to restore the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, BJP MLAs created a huge ruckus in protest against the proposal presented in the Assembly.
PDP MLA Wahid Para said Jammu and Kashmir should get special status again and Article 370 should be restored. He also demanded that Jammu and Kashmir (J&K Assembly session) should be given full statehood again. Presently Jammu and Kashmir is a union territory. It has an assembly like Delhi.
Against this proposal of PDP MLA from Pulwama Wahid Para, all 28 BJP MLAs stood up on their seats in the House and created a ruckus in strong protest. BJP MLA Shamlal Sharma while Waheed Para brought such a motion and demanded his suspension for violating the rules of the House. At this time, Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather was repeatedly appealing to all the MLAs to sit on their seats, but no one listened to him. Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather said that a decision would be taken only after reading it. The proposal has not reached me yet.
While BJP MLAs were creating confusion, National Conference MLAs also entered the well. He said that BJP people are creating obstacles in the work. The Central Government had decided to remove Article 370 on 5 August 2019. Apart from this, on the same day the proposal for reorganization of the state was also presented in the Parliament and Jammu and Kashmir was given the status of Union Territory.
