Latest News :- 23 out of 40 people on board died when a bus fell into a deep gorge in Almora district of Uttarakhand. 15 people were injured. The bus, which was going from Pauri to Ramnagar, suddenly lost control at Marchula in Almora district and overturned into a 200 meter deep gorge. This accident happened today (November 4) morning.
Almora District Disaster Management Officer Vineet Pal said that 22 people died on the spot in the accident and one died while being taken to the hospital in Ramnagar. Almora District Collector Alok Kumar Pandey said that there were about 40 passengers in the bus when it met with the accident. After the accident, police, SDRF and NDRF personnel immediately reached the spot and started rescue operations.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Thami has expressed condolences to the people who lost their lives in the accident. In this regard, in his X-post he said, “Very sad news has been received about the death of passengers in the unfortunate bus accident that took place in Marchula in Almora district. The district administration has been instructed to carry out immediate relief and rescue operations. He said that the local administration and SDRF teams are working quickly to rescue the injured and take them to the nearest health center for treatment. Instructions have also been given to airlift seriously injured passengers if necessary. He mentioned it.
