Here Is The First Widebody Tesla Cybertruck
It was about time that somebody put a widebody on a Tesla Cybertruck. This has been an extremely popular mod on other Tesla’s but its a bit different this time because the Cybertruck doesn’t have any flowing lines. So it is mostly angular fender flares tacked onto the vehicle.
The widebody kit has been made by Waido. It will have the widened fenders, which still have the cameras placed at the stock locations for the autonomous driving functions to work as intended and it also doesn’t hamper the location of the charging port. The kit also includes a elongated front bumper, side skits and a boot lip spoiler along with a rear diffuser.
The widebody kit is made from ABS plastic and costs $9,990 (around Rs 8.40 lakh). This kit is also pretty limited as Waido will only make 100 units of these kits. One great thing about this kit is that it doesn’t require any cutting of the stock body panels of the truck and simply replaces the fenders which are already present on the vehicle.
This particular example has also been shod with 26-inch Forgiato wheels which are a statement on their own and they are wrapped in some very low profile off-road tyres. It also sports a military green wrap which has covered the whole vehicle’s stainless steel panels. While we are not a big fan of some other wide body kit manufacturers, this one looks quite clean and somehow makes the Cybertruck look better and easier on the eyes.
We don’t think that there are any performance enhancements to the kit and its mostly an aesthetic choice for a vehicle like the Tesla Cybertruck. We think there will be many more Cybertruck aftermarket options available soon and people who have them should really look into these options to make their truck look unique.
