Champions Trophy: PCB got good news from ICC, big update on Champions Trophy, has BCCI's stand changed?
Cricket News Desk. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is satisfied with the ongoing preparations for the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. He has asked Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to speed up the work related to the tournament. PCB Chairman had gone to Dubai to attend the ICC meeting. Pakistan has decided to upgrade three of its stadiums (Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi) to host the tournament. It has handed over details of the development to the ICC.
What did PCB say to ICC?
According to Pakistan's website Geo News, ICC is satisfied with the preparations. He believes that the venue will be ready before the start of the mega-event in February next year. Naqvi has demanded ICC to go to Pakistan. Apart from this, he has also requested ICC to look into the preparations and arrangements of the tournament.
All eyes are on India
Now the ball is in the court of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Champions Trophy 2025 cannot be successful without India, the world's top cricket team. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) chief Richard Gould has already claimed that the ICC tournament cannot go ahead without India. BCCI has not confirmed its team yet. The board says that the decision to send the team will be taken only after the permission of the Government of India.
India increased tension on Pakistan!
The Indian cricket team has not toured Pakistan for 16 years. It looks like the Champions Trophy will also be in the same situation. PCB has prepared many plans for Team India. According to media reports, he has written a letter to BCCI. In which PCB said that if BCCI wants, its team can return to Delhi or Chandigarh after playing matches in Pakistan. There are doubts whether the report is true and the BCCI has already denied that they would consider it even if officially requested.
