IPL auction will be held in Saudi Arabia at the end of November
The high-profile Indian Premier League auction will be held in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh in the last week of this month, BCCI sources confirmed on Monday. “The IPL auction will be held in Riyadh and the franchises have been informed about it,” a BCCI source told PTI on condition of anonymity.
The probable dates are November 24 and 25.” This year's auction is very big, with high profile Indian stars like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Arshdeep Singh going to feature. The 10 franchises have a total of 204 slots to vie for. There will be around Rs 641.5 crore to spend. Of these 204 slots, 70 have been earmarked for foreign players. So far, 10 franchises have retained 46 players, amounting to Rs 558.5 crore.
