NCT’s Jaehyun leaves for his military service; leader Taeyong arrives to bid farewell amidst service
Fans are not able to come to terms with NCT’s Jaehyun’s joining the South Korean military. The artist’s fellow artists came to say goodbye on this extremely significant day. In addition, Taeyong, the leader of NCT, joined the group despite his continued military service.
Jaehyun formally started serving as an active duty soldier today, November 4, 2024. The pictures were also posted to NCT’s official social media website.
The artist made his solo debut in 2024 with the album J with the music video for two pre-release songs, Roses and Dandelion, and an MV for the title track, Smoke. Prior to his enlistment, SM Entertainment announced his first fan convention concert, MUTE, which took place on October 26 and 27, 2024, at Olympic Park Handball Stadium in southern Seoul.
Jaehyun has been a member of the NCT 127 sub-unit. He has also recently been a member of NCT DoJaeJung, a new subunit that also consists of Doyoung and Jungwoo.
In 2023, the sub-unit’s debut album, Perfume, was released. In 2024, the musician released the album Walk and participated in NCT 127’s full group comeback. Additionally, he has previously released two solo songs, Horizon and Forever Only, as part of the NCT Lab project.
