Who will become BCCI secretary after Jay Shah?
Rohan Jaitley is not the only one who is involved in this race. Apart from him, the name of Gujarat Cricket Association Secretary Anil Patel is also included in it. According to media reports, either Rohan Jaitley and Anil Patel can be appointed as the next Secretary of BCCI. There will be no special general meeting to discuss the appointment of the next secretary.
Let us tell you that Jay Shah has been posted as Secretary of BCCI since 2019. Since his appointment, Shah has handled his post well. He has also previously worked with Gujarat Cricket Association in 2009.
Talking about Rohan Jaitley, he has been associated with cricket administration for the last four years. The post in which Rohan is currently posted in DDCA was held by his father Arun Jaitley for 14 years. He was elected unopposed for a second term, indicating his acceptability and effectiveness in the role.
Under his leadership DDCA did many important works. During his tenure, the Arun Jaitley Stadium successfully hosted five ODI World Cup matches. Also started the inaugural edition of Delhi Premier League, which featured key players like Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma.
