The recent player auction held on Sunday witnessed spirited bidding and participation from eight dynamic teams: Clippers, Ninjas, Sensations, Spartans, Thunderbolts, Yoddha, Lion Warriors and King Pong.
The auction featured a list of 56 talented players, 8 dedicated coaches and 8 skilled managers. Each team has selected seven players, with participants ranging in age from 11 to 60, ensuring an inclusive and diverse competition.
Teams eager to build the most competitive roster for this season purchased high-profile players in various categories. Notable players include rookie boy Anuj Soni who joined the Lion Warriors, marquee woman Anusha Kutumbale joined the Clippers and marquee man Pankaj Kumar Vishwakarma also joined the Clippers. Additionally, the Sensations secured Himani Chaturvedi as the marquee women's player, strengthening their lineup. Prime Table Tennis CEO Abhishek Jain said in a PTT release, “We are thrilled to bring the Prime Table Tennis League to Madhya Pradesh for the first time. The excitement surrounding the player auction and the strong lineup of talent from across the country will bring the Prime Table Tennis League to India. Reflecting the growing enthusiasm for tennis, we look forward to an incredible season in Indore, which we are confident will be a memorable experience for the players and fans.” The top six star players in this season's draft include top talents like Shivam Solanki, Anusha Kutumble, Advika Agarwal, Parmi Pankaj Nagdeve, Vansh Chauhan and Mridul Joshi. These players have shown exceptional skill and talent, making them key players to watch in the league. Each player was selected from specific categories, bringing unique strengths to their teams: Shivam Solanki represents the marquee men's category, Anusha Kutumbale shines as the marquee women's player, while other players like Shaurya Bhagiya and Santosh Khirwadkar are diverse. Represent the talents coming from the background.
