Royal Enfield Bear 650 Launched At Rs 3.39 Lakh In India

Royal Enfield recently unveiled their Interceptor 650 based scrambler Bear 650 and they have now officially launched it in India with a starting price of Rs 3.39 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes quite a bit more expensive than the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 but it sits below the Shotgun and the SuperMeteor.

The Bear 650 uses the same 649cc parallel twin engine that we have seen in other 650cc REs. It produces 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque and it gets a 6-speed gearbox which also has a slipper assist clutch. The Bear 650 gets longer travel suspension to make it more capable off-road and 130 mm travel up front and 115 mm travel at the rear. It also gets MRF Nyrolex off-road tyres which are suited for this sort of a motorcycle.

Another detail of the Bear 650 is the instrument cluster which has been borrowed from the Himalayan 450 and it gets a digital screen with full maps functionality and can be connected with you smartphone via Bluetooth. It also gets LED lights all round and dual-channel ABS and traction control as standard. Other changes include a higher handlebar, a flatter seat, spoked wheels which measure 19-inch up front and 17-inch at the rear. One can get the Bear 650 in 5 colour options.

Here is the variant wise pricing of the Bear 650:

  • Broadwalk White: Rs 3,39,000 (ex-showroom)
  • Petrol Green: Rs 3,44,000 (ex-showroom)

  • Golden Shadow: Rs 3,51,000 (ex-showroom)

The Bear 650 is the fifth motorcycle to join the RE 650 lineup after the Interceptor, Continental GT, Shotgun and the SuperMeteor. Royal Enfield has also showcased the upcoming Classic 650 at EICMA 2024 which will also be launched soon.
