Mega auction date announced, know how many players will be bid on

The mega auction for IPL 2025 is going to take place on 24th and 25th November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. IPL Governing Council announced this through social media platform on Tuesday, November 5. 1574 players have registered for this mega auction. The last date for registration was 4th November.

The IPL Governing Council said, “IPL player registration officially closes on November 4, 2024, with a total of 1,574 players (1,165 Indians and 409 foreigners) having registered for the mega Tata IPL 2025 Player Auction.

Of the total 1574 players, 320 are capped, 1224 are uncapped, and 30 are from Associate Nations. The Governing Council has also shared the details of 409 foreign players who have registered for the mega auction. Let us tell you that the dates of the mega auction are going to clash on the third and fourth day of India's first Test against Australia starting from November 22 in Perth.

Maximum 91 players who have registered for the auction are from South Africa. 76 players from Australia, 52 from England and 39 from New Zealand have registered. 33 players have registered from West Indies and one player is from Italy. IPL has not yet revealed the names of the players but has revealed the number of capped and uncapped players.

Uncapped Indian players who were part of the last IPL season – 152

Uncapped International players who were part of the last IPL season – 3

Uncapped Indian players – 965

Uncapped International players – 104 Signed up to be part of the event, which will be held over two days in Jeddah Saudi Arabia on 24th and 25th November.”
