Marnus Labuschagne recalls first impressions about Kohli before BGT
Australia’s star batter Marnus Labuschagne talked about his initial impression of Indian star batter Virat Kohli before the highly sought Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. The five-match Tests between the two best teams might just play an important role in determining the result of the World Test Championship final.
Marnus recalled the incident about 2018 series, when he has his first interaction with Virat Kohli in the Test cricket jersey. He marked that Kohli was ‘very intense’ on the field, and such a game that he had never seen before.
“My first memory of Virat was probably, from a playing perspective, the 2018 series. He was captain at that time, I think, and he was quite intense. When I watched the series, it was a very intense series. I probably haven’t seen that same Virat since then, you know, the start of that series. For a long time, he’s just been a quality act, but my first memory would be that,” said Marnus.
Labuschagne will be looking forward to further expand his record against India in Test cricket in the upcoming series. Beginning from November 22, Indian team will face Australian team in Perth, as both the team will try to compete for the WTC final.
