When the police asked the accused again after the primary postmortem report, he admitted that he had killed the middle-aged man because he wanted to get a special accomplishment and had to sacrifice him in a tantric ritual.

When the accused was arrested, he told that Devdas had insulted him and he had committed the murder to take revenge, but investigation revealed that the accused extinguished the fire with the help of water and wrapped the body in clothes and kept it for about a year. I put it in and kept it aside. Then he ran away.

The accused said that he often used to go to Devdas's building to drive his motor vehicle and knew that Devdas was not married and was living with a woman. The woman had gone to Andhra Pradesh and Devdas was alone at home. Before sacrificing, the accused made Devdas drink alcohol and then slit his throat with a chapapad.
