Latest News :- While China is Apple's production hub, the company is taking steps to build its own distribution centers in different countries like India and Vietnam instead of relying solely on China. Apple started manufacturing older iPhone models in India in 2017. Apple CEO Tim Cook visited India in April last year. After this there were major changes in Apple iPhone manufacturing in India. New models are also currently being made in India.

Foxconn, Pegatron and Tata's Wistron manufacture Apple iPhones in India. Exports of iPhones from India were worth $6.27 billion in the financial year 2022-23. This will increase to $12.1 billion in the financial year 2023-24. However, exports worth $6 billion were made during April to September in the current financial year. It is reported that 50 percent of the total Indian exports of iPhone come from the Foxconn plant in Tamil Nadu.
