At the same time, before 2036, the 2032 Olympic Games will be held in Brisbane, Australia.
News agency IANS has quoted sources as saying that India has presented its claim for the 2036 Olympics. India's chances of hosting the Olympics have increased as the Indian Olympic Association formally submitted a letter of intent to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on October 1, 2024.

India last year hosted the 141st session of the International Olympic Committee in October 2023.
