Before the Test series against Australia, this former Pakistani cricketer gave this special advice to Rohit-Kohli.
Virat Kohli and Indian captain Rohit Sharma (Rohit Sharma) Both are struggling to score runs at the moment. This is the reason why India recently had to suffer a 3-0 clean sweep at the hands of New Zealand at home. In such a situation, fans are worried about the form of these two giants.
If these two players do not play in the Test series to be held in Australia, then they will have to face defeat. Now former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria has expressed his reaction regarding these two. He has said that Virat and Rohit have been advised to move down the batting order in the upcoming Test series in Australia.
Kaneria said, “Just see if Rohit Sharma is still comfortable opening or should he come in one-down and change his order a bit because he has been struggling with the track in India in the recent series. “Saudi got them out twice, and the ball will rotate more in Australia, so you have to see how you go with it.”
The former Pakistani cricketer further said, “The Indian top order should have Jaiswal and Shubman Gill as openers, Rohit will be one-down and Virat will be two-down. They will have to manage it. Gambhir will have to manage the tall Indian batting order. There is a need, because Ashwin and Jadeja are there, so they have a deep batting order.”
Captain Rohit has been able to score only 133 runs at an average of 13.30 and Virat Kohli has been able to score only 192 runs at an average of 21.33 in the last 5 Test matches. Due to this poor form, questions are being raised on the form of these two players. If India is to win the Border Gavaskar Trophy for the third time, then both of them will have to score runs with the bat. Border Gavaskar Trophy is going to start from 22nd November.
