Latest News :- The Telangana government has imposed a one-year ban on egg-based mayonnaise amid reports of various health problems. It has been told that this ban will remain in force for one year and will come into effect from Wednesday (October 30). French cuisine mayonnaise is mainly used in food products such as sandwiches, shawarma and burgers. It is made by mixing oil with egg white and is sold in bottles and sachets. It has now also been made egg-free for vegetarians.
There have been reports of food poisoning in Telangana for the last few days. Many people are admitted to hospitals due to physical illnesses. According to the Telangana Food Safety Commissioner, it has been revealed that egg-based mayonnaise is behind these disorders. Following this, the Telangana government has ordered a one-year ban on egg-based mayonnaise under Section 30 (2) (a) of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
It has been told that this order will soon be published in the Government Gazette. The order states that the public should be aware of the health risks associated with food products. A woman died tragically after eating momos in Hyderabad yesterday. Also, more than 50 people are undergoing treatment in the hospital. It is noteworthy that two days after the incident, the Telangana government has banned mayonnaise.
