Big cleaning campaign started in Yamuna on the occasion of Chhath festival, efforts to eliminate white foam on Kalindi Kunj

Delhi Yamuna Pollution: (Report – Rahul Dabas) Chhath festival has started, but the polluted water of Yamuna in Delhi continues to be a problem for the devotees. However, meanwhile, Delhi Jal Board and Delhi Government have started a mega campaign to clean Yamuna. In which dozens of workers along with a large number of Delhi Jal Board teams are destroying the Jaag through special chemicals in Kalindi Kunj. After this, compared to normal days, much less white foam is visible in Yamuna at Kalindi Kunj Ghat.

Yamuna should always remain clean

Despite this, the question remains that why such a campaign is run only on festival days, while why efforts are not being made to purify Yamuna forever. Because Chhath Maiya is worshiped as a mother, similarly Yamuna has also been worshiped as a mother since the Vedic period. So why is there such discrimination against Yamuna?
