This image lookup feature of WhatsApp has been rolled out with the beta version 2.24.23.13 update of WhatsApp. According to the latest report by WABetaInfo, users get a lookup icon on the image found in the message, through which they can check the image by searching on the web. This feature will work just like Google's reverse image lookup tool. Not only this, the user will also get the option to search the web before sending the image.
Beta users on Android open the app after downloading the latest update. After selecting the image, tap on three dots, after which they will get the option to search the image on the web. This reverse image lookup tool of WhatsApp can serve as a powerful weapon to stop rumours.
