Honda two wheeler business increased in the month of October, exports increased by 48 percent

New Delhi : Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, one of the largest two-wheeler companies in the automobile sector, has registered an increase in sales in the month of October. A total of 5,97,711 units have been sold in this month.

Honda company has said in an official statement that this time there has been an increase of 21 percent compared to the same period last year. The company has also informed that local sales have reached 5,53,120 units, which shows a growth of 20 percent on an annual basis.

It also saw impressive results in the export market, with 44,591 units shipped abroad, a substantial increase of 48 percent compared to October 2023. Strong export performance highlights growing footprint in international markets. The report said that during this month, the company's total dispatch was 5,97,711 units, which registers a growth of 21 percent on an annual basis. This includes local sales of 5,53,120 units and exports of 44,591 units.

Strong demand from the company

For the financial year so far, the company said cumulative sales from April to October 2024 have reached 37,56,088 units. This total includes domestic sales of 34,34,539 units and exports of 3,21,549 units, reflecting the company's strong demand in both domestic and international markets.

Increased popularity in South India

Apart from its sales growth, the company also celebrated 10 million cumulative sales in the central Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh. In Karnataka, it achieved another important milestone, where it registered sales of 5 million units, underscoring its popularity in this dynamic South Indian state.

Reflecting its commitment towards green transportation, Honda motorcycles and scooters also introduced the CB300F flex-fuel model, a move aimed at supporting India's shift towards more sustainable mobility solutions. The new model is in line with the government's effort to promote environment-friendly fuel options in the automotive sector.

The company has also prioritized road safety, running awareness campaigns in 10 cities across the country to educate people about safe driving practices. Through these efforts, the company aims to contribute to safer roads and promote a culture of responsible riding in India.
