According to the police, mother Sharda Devi, 56-year-old Rajendra Gupta, his wife 45-year-old Neetu, sons 24-year-old Navendra, 15-year-old Suvendra and daughter 17-year-old Gaurangi were living in a 15-year-old four-storey house across the street in front of the Bhadaini water tank. The first angle that came forward was that of Tantrik. It was believed that Rajendra’s liquor business was not going well. For this he was in contact with some Tantrik. On his instructions, Rajendra killed the family. But when he regretted it, Rajendra also committed suicide. After this another thing came to light. It was revealed that Rajendra already had a wife. During investigation, it was revealed that Rajendra Gupta’s first wife had left him in the 90s. After this Rajendra Gupta killed father, brother, brother-in-law and guard. But due to lack of evidence he got bail.

Then after coming out of jail, Rajendra married Neetu. After this they had three children. Police investigation again revealed a third angle that Rajendra had an affair with another woman also. He wanted to marry her. But Neetu was standing in the way. For this reason he killed Neetu and all three children. Amidst all these police theories, it has now come to light that Rajendra was also shot with the same pattern with which Neetu and the three children were killed. That means the murderer is someone else.
