Kheel Bataasha Recipe: On the occasion of Diwali, we all prepare different types of dishes in our homes. All these end within two-three days. Ingredients for making Kheel Upma
- Kheel- 1 bowl
- Batashe- 10-12
- Onion- 1/2
- Potato- 1
- Peas- ¼ cup
- Peanuts- ¼ cup
- Raisins- 10-12
- Salted Sev – ¼ cup
- Cumin- ¼ tsp
- Mustard – ¼ tsp
- Asafoetida- 1 pinch
- Black salt- ¼ tsp
- Garam masala- ¼ tsp
- Grated ginger – ½ tsp
- Green chilli- 1
- Pomegranate seeds – ¼ cup
Method of preparation
- First of all grind the batasha in mixer.
- Dry roast the kheel in a pan without adding oil.
- Put two spoons of oil in the pan and after heating it well, add peanuts and fry them and take them out.
- Now add asafoetida, cumin, mustard, grated ginger, fine green chilli, onion, potato, peas, mango, turmeric powder and red chilli powder in the same oil and fry.
- Add some raisins to it and stir. Add tomatoes to it and fry it a little.
- Add kheel in it and stir well. Add batasha in it also.
- Add garam masala, a little black salt and lemon juice to it.
- Add peanuts and finely chopped sev into it.
- Garnish with some pomegranate seeds on top and serve.
Ingredients to make Kheel Chaat
- Kheel- 1 bowl
- Puffed rice – 1 bowl
- Roasted gram – 1 bowl
- Peanuts- ¼ bowl
- Onion- 1
- Tomato 1
- Green chilli-1
- Salt- as per taste
- Chaat masala- ¼ tsp
- Fine sev – ¼ cup
- Green coriander leaves – for garnishing
Method of preparation
- Dry roast the game in a pan.
- Take out the game in the bowl. Take marmalade, roasted gram, peanuts and mix everything well.
- Add onion and tomato in it.
- Add salt and chaat masala on top and mix well.
- Also add green chillies and fine sev to it.
- Khel Chaat is now ready. You can also add green chutney to make it more tasty and spicy.
