Former Punjab Kings all-rounder Livingstone had scored 48 in the first match and then smashed a 77-ball century in the second ODI with 9 sixes in the second game as England chased down 329 runs to win. West Indies captain Shai Hope had scored his 19th ODI ton – 117 off 127 balls – while Sherfane Rutherford chipped in with a fifty as the home side posted 328 for 6 after batting first.
Post the ODI World Cup last year, former World champions England have lost a series to West Indies and Australia so far with their last win in the format coming against Ireland in September 2023. England may not want to change a winning side but left-arm pacer Reece Topley could be in line for return to the playing 11 by replacing Saqib Mahmood.
For West Indies, Alzarri Joseph was rested for the second ODI but Shamar Joseph proved to be expensive. The hosts may decide to replace Shamar with Alzarri.
