David Warner returns after retirement, will take up the responsibility of captaincy in Australia

David Warner has been made the captain of Big Bash League team Sydney Thunder. This is the first time after 6 years that David Warner has been made the captain. After that, it will be the first time that David Warner will captain Australia.
After the ball tampering controversy in South Africa in 2018, Cricket Australia banned Warner for life from captaincy. However, Cricket Australia lifted this ban last month, clearing the way for him to captain Sydney Thunder. Warner retired from international cricket after Australia's defeat in the T20 World Cup played in the West Indies in June.

He said that getting the captaincy of Thunder again means a lot to him. Warner said, “It means a lot to me to captain the Thunder again this season. I have been a part of this team since the beginning and it is great to have captain written next to my name again. “I am excited to lead from the front this season and share my experiences with the younger players.”
BBL-14 starts from 15th December
The former Australian batsman has been appointed captain of Sydney Thunder in place of Chris Green. While Green will remain in the team as a player. Warner had previously captained Sydney Thunders but due to the ban, he was removed from the captaincy. BBL 14 will start from 15th December. Thunder's first match will be played on December 17. This match will be against Adelaide Strikers in Canberra.
