British pop star Dua Lipa, who was in Singapore for a two-day performance, was spotted visiting the Katong neighborhood, where she enjoyed local dishes like chili crab and zi char.
In her latest Instagram post, she shared photos of herself in Katong, famous for its pastel-colored Peranakan houses.
She posed outside the Sri Senpaga Vinayagar Temple, dedicated to the Hindu god Ganesha, and was seen savoring a bowl of laksa with friends at the popular 328 Katong Laksa.
Her photos also featured a table spread with chili crab and zi char dishes from New Ubin Seafood at their Mymca Stevens outlet.
“So far this tour is powered by sour plum juice, chili crab, and laksa!” she captioned the post, adding, “What else should I try while I’m out here?”

Many Singaporean netizens suggested she try other local favorites, such as chicken rice, satay, biryani, pandan cake, and nasi goreng, a welcome addition to her already adventurous tasting experience with chili crab.
The Grammy-winning artist, whose song “Dance The Night” was featured in the 2023 blockbuster Barbie, is performing in Singapore on Nov. 5-6 as part of her Radical Optimism Tour, The Straits Times reported.
The tour kicks off in Asia and will conclude in the U.S. in October 2025.
Lipa had performed in Singapore in 2018, where she held a solo concert at The Star Theater and was part of the entertainment lineup for the Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix.
She has won seven Brit Awards and three Grammy Awards, and Time magazine listed her among the 100 most influential people in the world in 2024.
