Ingredients to make Semolina Gram Flour Tikki
Semolina – 1 cup
Gram flour – 1 cup
Onion – 1
Tomato – 1
Carrot – 1
Curry leaves – 8-10
Chopped coriander – 1/4 cup
Chopped green capsicum – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Mustard – 1/2 teaspoon
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
oil as per requirement
salt to taste
How to make semolina gram flour tikki
To make delicious gram flour tikki, first cut onion, tomato and carrot into fine pieces. Now mix gram and salai flour in a big bowl. Now prepare the dough by adding water little by little. – After this add turmeric and red chili powder and mix. After that, add finely chopped onions, tomatoes and carrots to the mass and mix well. Now take a pan and add one spoon oil in it and heat it. When the oil is hot, add curry leaves and mustard seeds and let it crackle. – After some time, add a pinch of asafoetida and green chillies and fry. After this, put the prepared semolina flour mixture in a saucepan and cook. Cook the pasta on medium flame until it thickens. When the mixture starts coming out of the pan, turn off the gas and let it cool.
Now grease your hands with oil and take small portions of the prepared mixture, make tikkis and keep them in a plate. After this, take a non-stick frying pan and heat it on medium flame. – When the pan is hot, spread some oil and keep aside four to five tikkis for baking. After baking the tikki for some time, turn it over and pour some oil around it. Fry the tikkis until they become crisp and golden on both sides. – After this take it out in a plate. – Prepare all the potato tikkis in the same manner. Serve them with green chutney or tomato sauce.
