Rupali Ganguly’s Stepdaughter Esha Takes Fresh Jab: ‘She Slept On Bed My Father-Mother Shared’

In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Esha Verma, daughter of Ashwin Verma and stepdaughter of actor Rupali Ganguly, made fresh allegations against her father and Ganguly. Esha claimed that Rupali, known for her role in popular television dramas, visited her family’s home in New Jersey and stayed in her mother’s marital bed. According to Esha, it was Rupali who influenced Ashwin to initiate divorce proceedings with her mother, Sapna Verma.

“Rupali Slept on My Parents’ Bed,” Esha Alleges

Speaking candidly, Esha expressed disbelief at her father’s recent public statements, which downplayed Rupali’s involvement in her parents’ separation. “My father has now commented on Twitter, denying Rupali’s involvement. But that is the biggest lie,” Esha said. She alleged that Rupali not only came to their New Jersey home but also “slept on my mother’s bed—the bed that my father and mother shared.” Esha described the emotional impact of this experience, stating, “She has done so much… emotionally, mentally, and verbally, abusing me and my mom. The trauma I had to deal with, and my mom as well, was overwhelming.”

Accusations of Orchestrating Divorce

Esha also claimed that Rupali played an active role in encouraging Ashwin to end his marriage to Sapna. “It’s wrong on both parties to have an affair,” Esha remarked, “but Rupali was the one who told my father to give my mom the divorce papers, and this happened twice. My father would fly to India to be with her.” Esha stressed her disapproval of her father’s affair, emphasizing that “having an affair while being married is completely wrong.”

A History of Tension

Esha’s grievances against Rupali are not new. In 2020, Esha first took to Facebook to share her experiences, a post that recently went viral. Speaking to Hindustan Times about the viral post, Esha expressed her relief at the public support she received. “It’s overwhelming, but I’m glad it’s being brought to light. Rupali is just the mother of my brother, and that’s about it,” she had stated, underscoring the estrangement in her relationship with her stepmother.

Background of the Verma Family

Esha, now 26, is the daughter of Ashwin and Sapna Verma, who were married in 1997 and separated in 2008. Ashwin later married Rupali in 2013, with whom he shares a son, Rudransh. Esha currently resides in the United States, while her father and stepmother remain public figures in India’s entertainment industry.
