Latest News :- Former Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board Wasil Rizvi has once again changed his name. His new name is Jitendra Narayan Singh who became a Hindu in 2001. Wasim Rizvi was the chairman of Shia Central Waqf Board of Uttar Pradesh. Then he got embroiled in many types of controversies. He was continuously speaking against his own religion Islam and there was strong opposition to it among Muslims. Along with this, Rizvi also expressed support towards BJP.
When Rizvi gave a speech in the Sant Sammelan of Haridwar, a controversy also arose. For this, the Shia sect associated with Rizvi had announced to expel him from Islam. Subsequently, Rizvi left Islam and converted to Hinduism on 6 December 2001. After conversion, Rizvi said, 'Sanatanam is the most sacred in the world. He said, “I chose this day for conversion because it was the holy day when kar sevaks demolished the Babri Masjid.”
Rizvi converted to Hinduism at Dasna Math in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of the controversial head of the math, Yogi Narsinganand Saraswati. Yogi Narsinganand is in jail after being arrested for making derogatory remarks about Islam. After religious conversion, Rizvi adopted the Hindu name Jitendra Narayan Tyagi. He is currently changing this name and has kept his new name Jitendra Singh.
With this name change Jitendra changed Tyagi to Singh and joined the Thakur sect. However, converted Hindus are not given a place in high society as per their choice. After Rizvi's religious conversion, his wife and children distanced themselves from him. It is worth remembering that relatives including mother and brothers had kept Rizvi away.
