BTS’ V unveils White Christmas with late legendary jazz singer Bing Crosby; deets here

On November 6, BIGHIT MUSIC formally revealed that BTS’ V will collaborate with the late jazz great Bing Crosby to produce a special holiday track, White Christmas, post a great deal of conjecture and mysterious social media teasers. Launching globally on December 6 at 2 PM KST, this unique virtual duet promises to bring listeners joy with a blend of V’s lyrical voice and Crosby’s timeless jazz style.

V is widely known for his passion for jazz and has often shown his appreciation for classic musicians like Crosby. He has previously posted videos of Bing Crosby’s performances and even performed a cover of the song “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” which is frequently associated with the jazz legend, demonstrating his passion for the genre.

Geffen Records, which oversees BTS’s global marketing, released a teaser earlier today along with a link to sign up for updates and the hashtag #BTSArmy. Crosby’s agency has engaged with BTS fans on social media to heighten the excitement, even sharing a video of V enjoying Crosby’s classic song “It’s Been a Long, Long Time.”

Irving Berlin wrote the original version of White Christmas, which has been a holiday classic since Crosby’s rendition peaked at number one in the 1940s and sold more than 50 million physical copies worldwide. This postmortem collaboration offers fans a new interpretation of the well-loved classic while maintaining its nostalgic appeal by fusing V’s modern sound with Crosby’s vintage approach.

White Christmas represents V’s commitment to preserving and revitalizing vintage jazz as well as a holiday gift to ARMYs.
