BLACKPINK’s Rosé overtakes BTS’ Jungkook by fetching most monthly listeners on Spotify

BLACKPINK’s Rosé has lately made headlines with the release of her single APT., featuring Bruno Mars. She has reached several milestones, particularly on the global streaming platform Spotify. Furthermore, the artist broke the record for the most monthly listeners for a K-pop idol on the app, beating BTS’ Jungkook.

On November 6, 2024, BLACKPINK’s Rosé made history as the K-pop idol with the most monthly Spotify listeners. The musician amassed a staggering 41.4 million listeners on the app. Despite not having released a full-length album, the artist achieved this milestone with only three songs: APT. featuring Bruno Mars, On The Ground, and Gone. Furthermore, Rosé beat BTS’ Jungkook, who had 40.7 million monthly listeners.

Previously, Rosé achieved another milestone with APT., reaching the top of the Global Spotify chart and being the first K-pop female soloist to do so. Within days of its debut, the song had received 238 million streams on the platform. Furthermore, the song’s official music video achieved 100 million views in less than a week, making it the fastest track in 2024 to reach this incredible milestone.

It has also received the renowned Prefect All-Kill award, which is only given when a song ranks first on multiple music charts, including Melon, Genie, Bugs, Flo, and more.

Rosé previously stated that she would be signing with THE BLACK LABEL, headed by producer Teddy. Furthermore, she is a member of Atlantic Records, which also includes pop sensations Ed Sheeran and Charli XCX. Furthermore, the singer has confirmed that her debut solo studio album, Rosie, would be released on December 6, 2024.
