According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), on Thursday morning, AQI was 426 in Anand Vihar, AQI 428 in Jahangirpuri, Ashok Vihar 417, AQI 417 in Mundka, AQI 411 in Bawana, AQI 405 in Rohini, AQI 399 in Sonia Vihar, Dwarka Sector 8. AQI 380 has been recorded in Punjabi Bagh, AQI 388, AQI 378 in RKpuram, AQI 377 in Burari, AQI 363 in Najafgarh and AQI 358 in ITO. On Wednesday, AQI was 352, which is in very poor category. However, there is a decrease of 21 points compared to Tuesday. There was a blanket of light smog in the sky since morning. People are feeling burning sensation in the eyes and difficulty in breathing. A decline has also been recorded in visibility.

Different categories of AQI
Let us tell you, AQI between zero to 50 is good, AQI between 51 to 100 is satisfactory, AQI between 101 to 200 is moderate, AQI between 201 to 300 is bad, AQI between 301 to 400 is very bad, AQI between 401 to 450 is severe. An AQI above 450 is considered very severe.
The air will remain in very poor category till Friday
According to the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), the wind blew from different directions on Wednesday. The wind speed during this period was four to eight kilometers per hour.
