What did Rahul Gandhi say?
Rahul Gandhi had written in his article that India was controlled by the East India Company not through commercial power but because of the “submissiveness of the kings”. He claimed that the company took over the Indian system by bribing, threatening and putting the kings of that era under pressure. Rahul wrote that India had lost its independence not to others but to an “oppressive system”.
