India vs South Africa T20I series 2024: Full squad details and key players to watch

New Delhi: Team India will face South Africa in the four-match T20I series, starting on November 8 at the Kingsmead Cricket Stadium in Durban. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 15-member squad for the series on October 25.

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the team while experienced players like Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson are also included in the squad. The Men in Blue will head into the series after defeating Bangladesh by 3-0 at home. Vijaykumar Vyshak and Ramandeep Singh received their maiden call-up for the senior T20I team after delivering impressive performances in domestic cricket and in the IPL.

Shivam Dube, Mayank Yadav and Riyan Parag missed out on the series due to respective injuries. Mayank recently returned to action in the Bangladesh series where he took two wickets in two matches but the pace bowler again got injured and ruled out of the four-match series. Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube was also ruled out from the series due to a recurring back injury while Riyan Parag was ruled out from the series due to a chronic right shoulder injury.

South Africa squad

Aiden Markram will lead a strong South African side comprising an explosive middle-order led by Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller. Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee will lead the pace bowling attack while Keshav Maharaj will lead the spin department. Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has been rested for the T20I series whereas Lungi Ngidi is preparing for the crucial Test series against Sri Lanka in November.
