In Sanatan Dharma, the festival of Dev Diwali is celebrated on the full moon day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. This time the festival of Dev Deepawali will be celebrated on 15 November. This festival is celebrated with great pomp and devotion in Varanasi, the city of Lord Shiva.

Therefore, Kartik Purnima and Dev Diwali will be celebrated on 15th November. Along with this, there will be auspicious time of 2 hours 37 minutes on this day.
In such a situation, Dev Diwali will be celebrated from 5.10 pm to 7.47 pm during Pradosh Kaal.
Do Dev Diwali puja like this
On the day of Kartik Purnima, wake up in Brahma Muhurta and take bath.
Taking bath in river Ganga or any holy river on this day is considered auspicious.
If for some reason you are not able to go for a bath in the holy river, then mix Ganga water in the water at home and take bath.
In the morning, put ghee or sesame oil in an earthen lamp and light it.
Worship Lord Vishnu duly.
Chant the mantras of Lord Vishnu during worship.
Light lamps in every corner of the house.
Donate a lamp to a temple even in the evening.
Recite Shri Vishnu Sahasranama, Vishnu Chalisa on this day.

What is the importance of Dev Diwali
According to religious beliefs, on the day of Dev Diwali, all the gods come to earth to celebrate Diwali. Therefore it is known as Dev Deepawali. It is said that every year on the day of Dev Diwali, the gods come to Lord Shiva’s city Kashi to light lamps on the banks of Ganga.
On this day, lamps are lit at the Ganga Ghat to welcome the gods. Also, lamps are lit in the entire house. Worship of Lord Shiva has special significance on the day of Dev Diwali.
There is also a belief in doing charity on this day. The festival of Dev Deepawali is a symbol of the victory of light over darkness. It also symbolizes the victory of good over evil. On this day people take bath in Ganga and offer prayers. This day is also considered to be the day of attaining salvation.
