As per an Onmanorama the SIT investigation said, “We scrutinised his (Nivin’s) emigration details, credit card transaction records and other travel details. The findings didn’t corroborate the allegations and hence we decided to remove his name from the accused list.”

Nivin added, “Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood by me. Thank you for all the love, prayers and support.” Several fans posted supportive comments alongside his article. Actors Shwetha Menon and Saniya Iyappan also reacted with heart emojis, indicating that they were delighted to hear the news.

The incident

A 40-year-old lady filed a police complaint against six people, including Nivin, alleging abuse in Dubai. An officer at Oonnukal police station, where the FIR under section 376 of the IPC was recorded, informed PTI that the case involves six people, including a woman.

Post the news, Nivin penned on Instagram, “I have come across a false news report accusing me of abusing a girl. Please know that this is entirely untrue. I am determined to go to any extent to prove these allegations are baseless and will take all necessary steps to bring those responsible to light. Thank you for your concern. The rest will be handled legally.”

Vineeth Sreenivasan and Bhagath Manuel defended him, alleging he was among them during the alleged incident. In October, a special investigation team (SIT) interviewed Nivin about the case.
