A doctored image of Elon Musk carrying a sink into the White House went viral on X on Wednesday following the U.S. presidential election, amassing nearly 100 million views.

Musk shared the image after Donald Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris, captioning it with “Let that sink in.” The post quickly attracted 99.6 million views, two million likes, 61,000 comments and 241,000 shares.

The viral image is an altered version of a real moment from October 2022, when Musk brought a sink into Twitter’s headquarters after acquiring the platform, which he later rebranded as X. A still from that footage was digitally placed into an image of the Oval Office.

Throughout election day, Musk repeatedly posted congratulatory messages on X, supporting Trump’s win even before official results were confirmed.

Currently valued at $263.8 billion, Musk holds the title of the world’s wealthiest individual, according to Forbes. He has recently contributed over $130 million to Republican election campaigns.

Musk and his companies may benefit from Trump being president, with the billionaire may even becoming part of a federal counseling committee, according to Standard.
