ICC Ratings: Chennai's pitch is the best and Kanpur's outfield is the worst, such is the condition of Indian stadiums.

sports desk : The ICC released the ratings of the pitches and outfields of the cricket stadiums used in the recent Test and T20 matches in India. Bangladesh played two test matches in India. After that New Zealand played 3 matches here. During this period, a three-match T20 series was also played. In this, the pitch of Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium was rated 'very good', while the outfield of Kanpur's Green Park Stadium was rated 'unsatisfactory'.

Chennai pitch gets 'very good' rating

During the test match played against Bangladesh, the Chennai pitch impressed everyone. The ICC has given it a 'Very Good' rating, which reflects the high quality of this pitch. The contest played on this pitch provided equally challenging conditions for both spin and batting, which is considered an example of an ideal Test match pitch.

Other pitches got 'satisfactory' rating

The pitches in Bengaluru, Pune and Mumbai received 'satisfactory' ratings during the Test matches played against New Zealand. Notably, the pitch at Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium had excessive moisture, due to which India were all out for just 46 runs. The pitches in Pune and Mumbai also received 'satisfactory' ratings for being spin-friendly, although the batsmen performed brilliantly in both the matches.

Outfield of Kanpur's Green Park 'unsatisfactory'

ICC match referee Jeff Crowe has given the outfield of Kanpur's Green Park Stadium an 'unsatisfactory' rating. In the match against Bangladesh, only two full days of play could take place due to a poor drainage system, raising questions about the quality of the stadium's outfield.

'Very good' pitch rating for T20 Internationals

ICC has given 'very good' rating to the pitches of T20 international matches played in Gwalior, Delhi and Hyderabad. These pitches provided ideal conditions for the shorter format of the game, in which it was possible to score big scores.
