Prince Harry’s secret files at risk of exposure after Trump’s win
Britain’s Prince Harry’s secret immigration file may become public as a result of Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election. The Biden administration has so far withheld the release of the file.
During the 2016 election, a feud between Donald Trump and Prince Harry began after Meghan Markle called Trump a misogynist and Trump responded by using the word “scum” for Meghan.
In February of the same year, Trump said that if he were to become president again, he would not support Prince Harry because he had cheated on Queen Elizabeth.
Trump also said that appropriate action would be taken if Prince Harry lied on his immigration application.
Prince Harry’s US immigration application began to be questioned after he admitted in 2023 in his memoir ‘Spare’ that he had been using drugs recreationally.
It must be disclosed on a US immigration application, right-wing think tank the Heritage Foundation claims that even recreational drug use is disqualifying for US citizenship.
In the United States, the Department of Homeland Security handles immigration matters, and the Heritage Foundation filed a lawsuit against the department after it refused to release Prince Harry’s files. Which is still under appeal.
British media say that Prince Harry has the full support of the Biden administration when it comes to immigration, but President-elect Trump may not, and it is also possible that the new Secretary of Homeland Security will approve Prince Harry’s immigration application.
In light of Donald Trump’s tough stance on immigration, the Heritage Foundation says releasing Prince Harry’s records will send a clear message that the law is equal for everyone.
