Canada has made a big change for tourists, Justin Trudeau announced to stop visas for so many years
Ottawa: The Canadian government has made a major change in its policy on multiple entry visas. It has decided to stop issuing ten-year tourist visas. Due to this, people coming to Canada may have to face problems.
Under the new guidelines, immigration officers will be able to decide at their own level whether single entry or multiple entry visa should be issued or not. The officials will also decide the time limit for how long this visa should be issued. Earlier its maximum validity was 10 years till the expiry of travel documents or biometrics.

Why did the Trudeau government take this decision?
According to sources, the reason for this change in policy is being attributed to the lack of housing for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who is facing political crisis. This has been done to reduce public anger over the high cost of living and declining approval ratings. Trudeau has also announced that he is reducing both temporary and permanent immigration.
