Dr. Bharat Punase said that every healthy adult person whose hemoglobin level in the body is not less than 13 grams can donate blood. Hemoglobin is eight to 10 grams, take iron rich vegetables, fruits and nutritious food.

Those with Hb level of six to eight grams can be cured by giving syrup and oral tablets for 100 days or intramuscular injection as per requirement. Those whose Hb level is less than six require iron medication along with blood transfusion.
