India condemns violence at Hindu temple in Canada, demands prosecution of perpetrators

We call on the Government of Canada to ensure that all places of worship are protected from such attacks. We also hope that action will be taken against those involved in the violence. We are extremely concerned about the safety of Indian citizens in Canada. This incident caused an uproar in Canada and abroad. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the attack and stressed the importance of religious freedom. In his X post he said that the incidents of violence at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton are unacceptable. Every Canadian has the right to practice their faith freely and safely. Thanks to the regional police department for their prompt action.

Canadian opposition leader Pierre Bolivar condemned the violence, saying it was “absolutely unacceptable.” Canadian MP Chandra Arya said, “This incident is very dangerous. He said that Khalistani militants have crossed their limits. Kevin Wong, Member of Parliament for Toronto, expressed concern that “Canada has become a safe haven for extremists. Many Canadian leaders have criticized the government for failing to protect Hindu, Christian and Jewish Canadians from extremist violence.
