Chennai : Many big companies of the country have shared their quarterly results today. The name of Hinduja Group's flagship company Ashok Leyland is also included in this list. Apart from SBI and Page Industries, this company has also released its business results today. On the basis of which it has been found that in the second quarter of the current financial year i.e. the year 2024-25, the company has made a consolidated net profit of Rs 766.55 crore. Let us tell you that Ashok Leyland Company has made a net profit of Rs 550.65 crore in the second quarter of the last financial year i.e. 2023-24 i.e. from July to September.
Ashok Leyland said in a statement on Friday that its consolidated total income has increased to Rs 11,261.84 crore in the quarter under review, which was Rs 10,754.43 crore in the same quarter last year. The company said it has more than 31 percent market share in the domestic medium and heavy commercial vehicle segment.
Will make products premium
The company's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer i.e. CEO Shenu Aggarwal has said that we are continuously focusing on profitability. We are improving our profitability by making our products 'premium', capitalizing on cost reduction opportunities and enhancing our customer service standards. Ashok Leyland's income before tax (Ebitda) grew by 11.6 per cent at Rs 1,017 crore in the July-September quarter as against Rs 1,080 crore in the same quarter last year.

commercial vehicle segment
The board of directors of the company, in its meeting held on Friday, has recommended an interim dividend of Rs 2 on each share of face value of Re 1. This reflects continued improvement in financial performance and a positive outlook for the remaining half of the financial year i.e. October, 2024 to March, 2025. Ashok Leyland has expanded its offering in the tipper, bus, haulage and light commercial vehicle segments in the July-September, 2024 quarter.
