Indian batters fail to perform during practice before the BGT 2025
Team India is currently in Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in order to get used to Australian grounds before the five-match Test series takes place.
This Test series against Australia is important for India to secure their place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final, which is going to be held next year in June.
As per reporters in Australia, the top-order batters of Indian lineup, specially Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal were seen struggling during he match stimulation sessions at WACA stadium in Perth. All batters were claimed to have been caught behind the wicket.
Wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul also got injured and was forced to leave the match early on.
It hasn’t looked like a pitch that’s done loads but Mukesh Kumar, Navdeep Saini & Nitish Reddy have run through what you’d think is a first-choice batting line-up for India. Kohli, Jaiswal, Gill (gully), Jurel all caught edging behind the wicket, as per the norm in Perth #AusvInd
