PM Modi celebrated Tribal Pride Day in Jamui, Sido-Kanu, descendants of Birsa Munda, Kadiya Munda were also honored on the stage.
Jamui: On the occasion of Lord Birsa Munda Jayanti, PM Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated many schemes from Jamui, Bihar. The celebrations of the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda have been started. Prime Minister Modi will unveil a commemorative coin and postage stamp in honor of Lord Birsa Munda. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development projects costing more than Rs 6,640 crore.
On this special occasion, descendants of Sido-Kanu and descendants of Lord Birsa Munda were also present on the stage of PM Modi. Not only this, former BJP MP from Khunti and former Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Kadiya Munda was also present. PM Modi said that we are honestly trying to remove the injustice of history. PM Modi said that even after independence, the contribution of tribals was forgotten.
PM Modi asked that if only one party brought independence then what was the rebellion of Birsa Munda, what was the revolution of Sidhu-Kanu. The PM also reminded the Bhils of Maharashtra of helping Shivaji. Referring to the tribal heroes across the country, Modi said that their contributions were forgotten by history.
Referring to President Draupadi Murmu, PM Modi said that NDA made a tribal woman the President. Narendra Modi alleged that earlier he did not care about the most backward people among the tribals.
