International Tribal Participation Festival: CM Yogi said – convey the ideals and struggle of Birsa Munda to the new generation.
Lucknow. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday celebrated the International Tribal Participation Festival as Tribal Pride Day on the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. Launched.

CM Yogi said that the entire life of Lord Birsa Munda was dedicated to the welfare of the tribal community, freedom struggle and social justice. His contribution is being cherished not only on Tribal Pride Day, but also as an inspiration and guidance for future generations. Recalling the courage, bravery and sacrifice of Birsa Munda, the CM reiterated his resolve to convey his ideals and struggle to the new generation.
He said that Birsa Munda had dedicated his life to the historical struggle against the British. This program, which started at Sangeet Natak Academy, will continue till 20th November. People from across the state and the country will be able to enjoy this unique event. Special programs will be organized from 15 November to 26 November 2024 to honor the tribal freedom fighters of the country. The government has declared the year 2025 as 'Tribal Pride Year' to maintain the historicity of the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda.
Special program on Tribal Pride Day
Let us tell you that the Government of India has decided to organize special gram sabhas on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day this year. The special thing is that these events will be held especially in tribal dominated areas. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is organizing orientation and training programs in Gram Panchayats with the aim of increasing the participation of tribal communities through the PESA Act and Forest Rights Act.
