'Ghar Aa Mahi' released as the first song of 'Bandish Bandits' season 2
Mumbai: After announcing the return of the popular musical drama 'Bandish Bandits' for the second season, the makers have now treated fans to the first track. On Friday, Prime Video and T-Series Music released a song titled “Ghar Aa Mahi” as a preview of the new season, which will premiere on December 13. The track is a mix of classical and modern music, giving fans a glimpse of the journey of the show's lead characters Radhey and Tamannaah.
The song is composed by Ana Rehman, written by Shubham Shirule and sung by Nikhita Gandhi and Digvi (Digvijay Singh Pariyar). It uses modern guitar and bass along with traditional instruments like Sarangi and Tabla. The second season will follow the story of Radhey and Tamannaah, played by Ritwik Bhowmik and Shreya Chaudhary, as they move forward in their world of music, love and ambition. Along with the original cast including Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni and Kunal Roy Kapur, newcomers including Divya Dutta and Rohan Gurbaxani will be joining the series.
The first season of 'Bandish Bandits' premiered in August 2020 and received widespread praise for its unique story centering on the collision between traditional Indian classical music and modern pop culture. The show starred veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah and was praised for its performances, music and storytelling.
