'There is more history of exploits than work'… CM Yogi's sarcasm on the opposition
The political atmosphere has heated up regarding the by-elections to be held on 9 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. All the parties are campaigning vigorously. In this series, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a public meeting at Majhwan seat of Mirzapur. This was his second rally in five days. During this, he made a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) and enumerated the achievements of the BJP government in the state.
CM Yogi's attack on SP
Taking aim at SP, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that when SP was in government, only mafia and hooliganism ruled the state. He alleged that whenever a job was available during the SP government, the uncle-nephew duo would set out to collect it. Money was taken, but no job was given. Yogi termed it as “mafia raj”. He said, “Now there is no curfew, no riot in Uttar Pradesh. There is peace in the state and development work is happening at a fast pace. Today UP has become free from the identity of mafia and goons.”
Big statement on women's safety
CM Yogi reiterated his government's commitment towards women's safety. He announced that the police recruitment process will start by the end of this month, in which 20,000 daughters will be recruited. Yogi said, “If any SP goon at the crossroads, city or village tries to cast an evil eye on the daughters, then these daughters recruited in the police will 'dentate and paint' him.”
Ask for votes for BJP candidate
CM Yogi asked for votes for BJP candidate Shuchismita Maurya from Majhwan and said that BJP is the real guarantee of the development of the state. He said that in the new India, the country's borders are safe and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving towards becoming a developed India. Yogi described SP as a “crisis” for women's safety and youth employment.

Voting will be held on 20th November
Voting will be held on 9 seats of UP on November 20. These seats include Majhwan, Phulpur, Khair, Meerapur, Sisamau, Katehari, Karhal, Kundarki and Ghaziabad. The results of these elections will be declared on November 23 along with the election results of Maharashtra and Jharkhand. This by-election is not only a platform for BJP, SP and other parties to prove their popularity, but can also affect the political balance in the state.
